Anti-Corruption & Fraud Policy 

1. Purpose 

The purpose of this Anti-Corruption and Fraud Policy is to set out the responsibilities of Apple Taxis, its employees, and any associated parties in observing and upholding our stance against corruption, fraud, and bribery. This policy is designed to ensure compliance with the UK Bribery Act 2010 and other relevant regulations. 

2. Scope 

This policy applies to all employees, directors, contractors, consultants, and any other person associated with Apple Taxis. It covers activities that may occur both domestically and internationally. 

3. Definition of Corruption and Fraud 

Corruption: The abuse of entrusted power for private gain, including bribery, kickbacks, and any form of illicit advantage. 

Fraud: The intentional deception made for personal or financial gain, including false representation, failure to disclose information, and abuse of position. 

4. Policy Statement 

Apple Taxis has a zero-tolerance approach to corruption, bribery, and fraud. We are committed to acting professionally, fairly, and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate. 

5. Bribery 

Prohibited Acts: Apple Taxis prohibits the giving, offering, receiving, or accepting of bribes or improper payments of any kind, directly or indirectly. 

Gifts and Hospitality: Employees may accept or offer gifts and hospitality only if they are of nominal value, not intended to influence, and comply with our internal guidelines. Any gifts or hospitality above a certain threshold (£20.00) must be declared to management. 

6. Responsibilities 

Employees: Every employee of Apple Taxis must avoid activities that could lead to, or imply, a breach of this policy. Employees are required to report any suspected corruption, fraud, or unethical behaviour through the appropriate channels. 

Management: Management is responsible for ensuring that appropriate systems are in place to prevent, detect, and respond to any instances of corruption or fraud. 

7. Reporting and Investigation 

Reporting Mechanisms: Apple Taxis encourages a culture of openness and supports anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith under this policy. Reports should be made to the General Manager or through the designated whistleblowing hotline. 

Investigation Process: All allegations of corruption or fraud will be thoroughly investigated. Any breach of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal or legal action. 

8. Training and Awareness 

Apple Taxis will provide regular training to ensure that employees are aware of the policy and their responsibilities under the UK Bribery Act 2010. This training will be included as part of the induction process for new employees. 

9. Monitoring and Review 

This policy will be reviewed annually by the management team to ensure it remains relevant and effective. Apple Taxis is committed to continually improving its procedures and standards for combating corruption and fraud. 

10. Compliance 

Any employee who violates this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in termination of employment. Apple Taxis reserves the right to terminate its relationship with any third parties working with or on behalf of the company if they breach this policy.
